How to Bet NFL Touchdown Scorers

NFL Touchdown Props

When it comes to NFL prop bets, touchdowns are at the top of the list. Touchdowns are the name of the game in football - the number one objective for all players and the number one thing all fans root to see. On DraftKings Sportsbook, you can bet on your favorite players to cross the goal line into the end zone.

What is a Touchdown Scorer Bet?

A touchdown scorer bet involved predicting whether a particular player will score a touchdown during the game. There are a few different types of touchdown scorer bets: “Anytime Touchdown Scorer, First Touchdown Scorer, and 2+ TDs”.

Important to note: a touchdown scorer is defined as the player in possession of the ball in the end zone. Passing touchdowns do not count.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer

An Anytime Touchdown Scorer bet involves predicting whether a particular player will score a touchdown at any point during the game.

Example:

Player X to score a touchdown: +200

In this case, a $120 bet for the selected player to score a touchdown at any time during the game, would yield a $240 profit plus your $120 stake returned, totaling a $360 payout.

First Touchdown Scorer

For a First Touchdown Scorer bet, you are predicting whether a particular player will score the first touchdown of the game. The odds for this market are naturally higher than the Anytime Touchdown market, as only one player in the game can score the first touchdown, so pick wisely!

2+ TDs

As the name indicates, a 2+TDs bet involves predicting whether a particular player will score 2 or more touchdowns in the game. This market tends to have higher odds, as the likelihood of a player scoring multiple touchdowns in the same game can be quite rare.

Why Bet on Touchdown Props?

Like any wager, greater risk means higher odds. The top running back in the game will likely have weaker odds to score a touchdown when compared to a backup tight end. With that said, greater odds also means higher payout. So it is up to you to decide if you want to play it safe and bet on the player that tends to score the most often, or take the risk and bet on an unlikely hero to get in the end zone.

Sports betting is never about an adrenaline rush or chasing other betting losses. Always bet responsibly by setting clear limits for yourself and never bet money you can’t afford to lose. Your wagers are not about trying to pay your bills but simply about adding entertainment value to your favorite sports. Bet wisely and responsibly.
