NFL Week 9 Odds and Betting

Week 9 of the NFL season kicks off with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the New York Jets and Houston Texans. Despite being 2-6 and currently on a five-game losing streak, New York is actually slightly favored in this matchup. Aaron Rodgers has a myriad of offensive weapons at his disposal, and on the other side of the field C.J. Stroud will be without Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs, who is officially out for the year with a torn ACL. It goes without saying, but this is a must-win game for the Jets.

Sunday’s slate is headlined by an NFC North showdown between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. These are two of the hottest teams in football with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations, riding a combined nine-game winning streak entering this clash. Jordan Love is dealing with a strained groin but should be ready to go, and he’ll need to be at his best to take down Dan Campbell’s Lions, who are slight road favorites for this contest.

Week 9 wraps up with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield will be without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for this contest, but Tampa was still able to move the ball last week thanks to Cade Otton and the running back committee. It’ll be an uphill battle for the Bucs against Patrick Mahomes and company, who remain undefeated and are large home favorites.
