The MLB regular season is winding down and the World Series odds have held steady for the majority of the season. The Dodgers, Astros, Yankees Mets and Braves have been the Top 5 favorites for most of the season but while not much has changed on that front, there have been some major shake ups in a few of the division races. The Dodgers and Astros have already locked up the NL West and AL West respectively, and while it’s not totally over yet, the Yankees have held a solid lead in the AL East. In the NL East, the Mets and Braves are still battling it out but the Mets currently hold a significant edge. The AL Central and NL Central have had the largest changes, with the Cardinals most notably surging well ahead of the Brewers. The Guardians have taken advantage of their games against the White Sox and Twins and are now huge favorites to win their division as well.
In the MLB Awards races, Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt are now overwhelming favorites to win their respective MVP trophies. Judge has kept up his historic home run pace and both he and Goldschmidt are threatening for the Triple Crown. Sandy Alcantara remains ahead for the NL CY Young but there’s a new favorite in the AL as Justin Verlander has moved past both Dylan Cease and Shane McClanahan. Spencer Strider and Julio Rodriguez are still the favorites for the NL and AL Rookie of the Year awards, though Michael Harris has made the NL award much more interesting in recent weeks.
The last day of the regular season is October 5 2022.
The Dodgers, Astros, Yankees Mets and Braves have been the Top 5 favorites for most of the 2022 season.
The 2022 MLB Playoffs will start on October 7 2022.
